"How you focus your attention throughout life, and especially during the adolescent period, plays an important role in shaping the growth of your brain".
Dr. Daniel Siegel in Brainstorm - The Power and Purpose of the Teenage Brain
holistic
You are not defined only by your symptoms or labels and we seek balance by honouring the complex parts of you as an interconnected whole.
somatic
You have physical reactions to stress and emotional overwhelm and we focus on connecting mind and body to notice, interpret and attend to messages from your nervous system.
integrative
You have a voice in your own mental health journey and we will design a treatment model that will promote healthy long-term links in your brain.
awareness
Your ability to become aware of your awareness naturally emerges during the adolescent stage and can be strengthened with practice.
emotional safety
You have an alarm system built into your brain that activates a threat response in your body and impacts your feelings of safety in interactions and relationships.
emotion regulation
You have emotional regulation needs that go beyond applying strategies and instead come from your ability to reach higher states of consciousness.
Narrative Therapy aims to shift away from labels, blame and pathologizing, and instead focuses on the meaning we attach to interactions and lived experiences. Mindfulness is building awareness about mind and body (somatics) and harnessing your own inner wisdom to regulate and find balance.
In combination with those primary modalities I practice from Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Emotion Focused Family Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS) and Attachment Theory frameworks.

All Treatment Interventions are
Evidence-Based & Trauma-Informed
